Hello everyone. John Bramwell here. This is 'You, Me and the Alarm Clock'. I wrote and produced it myself and was helped out by the marvellous Dave Price at Sugarloaf Studios in Abergavenny.
I was living in a caravan on the edge of an industrial estate, delivering silicone based mastics by day and drinking at night. I felt full of hope and aware of traps and these I see now were the themes of this record. They still are the themes of many of my more recent songs. It's difficult to say which of my own songs I like the best. I pretend like most song writers never to listen to my own stuff. My personal favourite on here is 'JUNK CULTURE ', but the stand out song for other people was' BLACK AND BLUE '. This song got me my first play on the John Peel show and a small tour supporting the brilliant John Cooper Clarke. The rest, as they say, is a perplexing mixture of great times and a hell of a lot of time.
